My understanding is that you can only do a 'clean' install with an XP Home upgrade if you have the original ME CD which XP Home setup will ask for during the installation, if it does not detect ME already installed on my HD. Does this mean I can only go down this route if I purchase a 'full' ver. of XP Home or when

Hi: I'm trying to make up my mind whether to do a clean install of XP or upgrade my Win2K box. I have quite a few applications that I'm loathe to re-install, and a lot of data that I'd just as soon not move to another drive. I have an AMD Athlon T-bird 1.7 with 1G of RAM on an Asus A7M266 Motherboard.
